Happy Now?

Fern Horton

“As a young person who struggles with a mental health condition I often feel like I have been put on medication purely because it is the easy short-term option, rather than the option that is most likely benefit me in the long-term.

In my own personal experience, every time I have relapsed the first option has always been to up my dosage or change the medication I am taking and I created this piece as an expression of my emotions towards this. I never felt like I was really seen as someone that actually needed professional help, I was just another 18 year old diagnosed with depression.”
