This series was created during a difficult time in Gabriella's life, whilst she battled with trying to find hope in a situation that felt hopeless. It is about trying to restore balance, and always being aware that in darkness there is light.Gabriella’s atmospheric work is inspired by life events, emotion and ambience, with the aim to create pieces with total individuality.

Each painting is unique and all have a theme of being “cracked” or “ broken”, this runs throughout Gabriella’s practice with the purpose to show there is no absolute perfection in anything we do and so to embrace all parts of ourselves.
