My work is an examination of the value we place on materials and to a larger scale - life, and the relationship between the two.
I use my work as a place to connect with nature and break from constant outside interference - when pinning the wings of a butterfly there is no room for distraction, and is the only time my mind is truly quiet.
I have suffered mental and physical health issues, and working as an artist full time has given me freedom and connection with the art world.
